Ivo studied painting, drawing, design and architecture. He has shown individually since 1980. In 1994, he was the first of his generation to exhibit individually at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro. His recent solo exhibitions include: Paris, Venice and Sao Paulo. His group exhibitions include Algeria, Brazil, Canada, USA, Holland, Italy, France, Japan and Mexico.
