Gianni
De Tora was born in Caserta, Italy in 1941. He moved to Naples in 1951
and completed studies at the Institute of Art and at the Academy of
Fine Art. He took part in his first national show in 1960. and was part
of exhibitions during the 60's and 70's.
In 1977-78 he had solo shows where he exhibited paintings containing sequences and diagonals.
His works are in private and public collections in Naples, Rome, Florence, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Budapest, Paris, London, New York, Moscow, Belgrade, and Stockholm.
Bruno D'Amore has authored a book about him entited "Gianni De Tora: Dell'immagine esatta".
