Dallas
based glass artist Mary Lynn Devereux received her Bachelor of Fine Arts
with Distinction from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland.
Besides working in education and therapy using art to reach troubled youth,
she has led several national workshops on glass for both youth and adults,
as well as done an art residency with the Young Audiences of Greater Dallas
for many years. Her work is primarily done on a commisioned basis and can
be seen in both private residences and public spaces including Neiman Marcus
in Plano, Texas and the Miele Showroom in Dallas, Texas.
Devereuxs work depicts her esthetic reaction to life and her expressive
forms recall the work of Modern artists in the New York School. She experiments
with hot and cold worked glass creating pieces ranging from small, intimate
cast glass sculptures to large mixed media sculptures and architectural
glasswork.
