Alan Engisch was born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1939. He studied at Pratt Institute and Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art attaining a certificate in Industrial Design. After time in the military and a career in business, he returned to art in 2004, creating minimalist, optical, and color ground works using a spreadsheet program. He has exhibited in shows in Irving, Fort Worth, and other local Texas venues. Currently he lives and works in Watauga, Texas.
