Laloy was born in Rennes, France in 1920. In 1945 he received his degree in Architecture from the School of Fine Arts in Paris. From 1948 until 1952 he worked as an architect in Rennes.
From 1952 on he devoted himself entirely to painting. In 1958 he had a solo exhibition at the Galerie la Cour dIngres in Paris, where he was introduced by AndrÈ Breton.
In 1989 he participated in surrealist expositions in Basle and in Milan.
In the 1990s he showed with MADI groups and joined them in producing prints. He died in 1999.
