Andre Stempfel

André Stempfel was born in León, France, in 1930 and today lives and works in Paris. Since 1980 he has shown with MADI artists, and has had solo shows in galleries in Paris, Japan, Russia, and Brazil. He has monumental works in France and Germany.

His work tends to minimalism, and contains humor and illusion. He was a part of the the group of French artists shown in conjunction with the Auguste Herbin show.
