Vincenzo Arena was born in Italy and lives and works in Rome and Paris. He is a Co-founder of the CO.MO.(Constructivism and Movement) group in Paris, and worked with Michel Seuphor. Claiming to have been primarily influenced by Mondrian, Arena’s career began by immersing himself in the world of repetitive lines and geometric abstraction. Arena has shown in exhibitions worldwide, including Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, USA and Venezuela.
MADI is a great artistic adventure, and perhaps, the only existing movement which can justify half a century of existence. MADI is more than an avant-garde movement; it has an underlying wave with several and differing offspring. It is the slow-paced growth of a tectonic plate in the history of art. Indeed, since art and environment are perveived as the fusion of two cultural phenomena, the progression and expression of both of these blend in everyday life.
