Albert Shaw is an artist from Marshall, Texas and resides in Dallas, Texas. He received a BFA from North Texas State University in 1973 and completed additional studies in photography and printmaking at The University of Texas at Arlington. During his career, Shaw has been an art teacher in the public school system in Dallas and has been employed to curate a traveling exhibition of local Dallas artists as a part of the Biannual National Black Artist Festival in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has also work as a “public artist” for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) by designing sculptures for the rail stations.

Shaw has exhibited his multimedia work in places like the Museum of Science and Industry in Los Angeles, The Arlington Art Museum in Arlington, Texas, the National conference of Artists’ 2nd International Exhibition in Bahia, Brazil, and the Treme Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana.
